Strathearn – Inaugural Release

Strathearn Inaugural Release is a single malt from Strathearn Distillery, a small distillery on the outskirts of Perth in Highland Perthshire. The distillery puts flavour ahead of alcohol yield and uses Maris Otter malt, which it credits with a creamy, malty new-make spirit. The nose is rich with malted barley and gentle oak. The palate is syrupy and mouth-coating, with honey, buttercream, baking spice and dried apricot. The warming finish is long, with home baking and buttery oak biscuits.
