Stronachie 10 Years

Stronachie 10 Years is a small batch single malt from A.D. Rattray, made with whisky from Benrinnes distillery in Speyside. It was composed from 27 selected bourbon casks dating from 2002 and 2003. Tim Morrison, the present owner of A.D. Rattray and a descendant of Andrew Dewar, revived the Stronachie name. Benrinnes was chosen after a sample from an original 1904 bottle showed it to be close to the historic style. The label follows the design of the old original. The nose is malty and sweet, with spice, honey and heather. Biscuits, spice, honey and cereal come through on the palate, and the finish brings ginger, honey and cinnamon.
