Sullivans Cove Old & Rare American Oak Second-Fill TD0123 is a single cask Tasmanian single malt matured for 16 years and 10 months. The 300L American oak second-fill cask was filled in August 2006 and decanted in June 2023, yielding 420 bottles at 47.6% ABV in 70cl bottles, each in a handmade solid oak box.
The whisky carries the vanilla, caramel, coconut and fruit character associated with the distillery's long-aged American oak releases.
The nose brings tea leaves, fresh pine and dried pineapple. The palate is silky, with mango ice cream, toasted coconut and milk chocolate, and the finish is long, with mango and strawberry jam, rum balls and maple syrup.
