This is a single cask Tasmanian single malt from Sullivans Cove, matured for 17 years in an American oak ex-bourbon cask. It was distilled in 2000 and decanted in April 2018. The cask, number HH0476, yielded 151 bottles at 47.6% in a 70cl bottle, each in a handmade solid oak presentation box.
The nose offers banana, walnut, crème caramel, liquorice and kumquats, with black pepper, camphor and old oak. The palate is creamy and sweet, with banoffee pie, meringue, macadamias, toffee apple and milk chocolate fudge. Vanilla, coconut and preserved fruits finish the whisky, with a malty cocoa line that lingers.
