This is an 18 year old single cask single malt from Sullivans Cove in Tasmania, matured in an American oak ex-bourbon barrel. The spirit was distilled in May 2000 and bottled in December 2018, after eighteen years and seven months in the cask. The cask, number HH0310, filled 161 bottles at 48% ABV.
It comes in a handmade solid oak presentation box.
The nose brings banana, walnut, crème caramel, liquorice, kumquat, black pepper, camphor and old oak. On the palate it is creamy and sweet, with meringue, macadamia, sweet pastry, toffee apple and milk chocolate fudge. The finish carries vanilla, coconut and preserved fruit, with a malty cocoa note that lingers.
