This is an 18 year old single cask single malt from Sullivans Cove in Tasmania, bottled at 47.5% in a 70cl bottle.
Cask HH0106, an ex-bourbon American oak cask, was filled in December 1999 and emptied in June 2018, after eighteen years and six months of maturation. It yielded 215 bottles and is among the oldest single cask whiskies the distillery has released.
The nose offers banana, walnut, crème caramel, liquorice, kumquat, black pepper, camphor and old oak. The palate is creamy and sweet, with banoffee pie, meringue, macadamia, toffee apple and milk chocolate fudge. Vanilla, coconut and preserved fruit lead a long, malty cocoa finish.
