Sullivans Cove – 2000 17 Year Old American Oak Ex-Bourbon Single Cask HH0316 (70cl, 47.5%)

This is a 17 year old single malt from Sullivans Cove in Tasmania, a single cask bottling from the year 2000 in a 70cl bottle at 47.5% ABV. It was double distilled and matured in a single 200 litre American oak cask that previously held bourbon. The whisky was hand-bottled and labelled at the distillery. It comes in an oak presentation box with a letter of authenticity signed by head distiller Patrick Maguire and production manager Heather Tillott. Sullivans Cove describes this style as having a strong malt backbone, with flavours of vanilla, caramel, stone fruit, white flowers and powerful oak.
