A 23 year old Tasmanian single malt from Sullivans Cove, from cask HH0619, an American oak cask that previously held Bourbon. It was filled on 21 May 2001 and decanted on 25 February 2025 at 47.6% ABV, giving 194 bottles in 70cl.
The cask comes from the distillery's HH era, its earliest period, when 162 casks were filled between 1999 and 2003. This bottling completes a run of Sullivans Cove whiskies covering every age from 16 to 25 years.
The nose offers buttered sourdough, vanilla custard, pine-lime and charred pineapple. The palate is sweet oak, vanilla and maple with shortbread and stone fruit, and the finish is long, with lemon drops and passionfruit.
