This is a Tasmanian single malt from Sullivans Cove, drawn from a single cask and bottled at 49% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Cask TD0385 was a first-fill 200-litre American oak cask that previously held bourbon.
The whisky was distilled in December 2006 and decanted in February after 15 years and 2 months in the cask. The cask yielded 239 bottles.
The notes run to caramel fudge, caramelised banana and condensed milk on the nose, with jam, custard, stewed apple and sweet orange on the palate. The finish is long, with crisp apple, grapefruit and orange rind, ending on coconut and caramel fudge.
