Sullivans Cove – American Oak Ex-Tawny (Second Fill) Single Cask Tasmanian Single Malt Australian Whisky (70cl, 47.5%)

This is a single cask Tasmanian single malt from Sullivans Cove, bottled at 47.5% abv in a 70cl bottle. It matured in a second fill 200 litre American oak cask that had previously held Australian tawny, a port-style fortified wine. The cask, TD0199, was filled with new make in June 2007 and decanted in October 2019, after twelve years and four months. The flavour combines the caramel, vanilla and bright woodiness of American oak with the rich dried fruit and molasses character of fortified wine.
