A 17 year old single cask whisky from Sullivans Cove in Tasmania, bottled at 48.3% abv in a 70cl bottle. Cask TD0028 was distilled on 10 August 2005 and decanted on 22 March after 17 years and 7 months of maturation. It yielded 415 bottles, each in a solid walnut presentation box with a signed letter of authenticity.
The cask is second-fill French oak that held Tawny two fills earlier, so the Tawny influence has faded. It is noted for complexity and balance in a French oak spirit without a fortified pre-fill immediately before it.
