A 17 year old single cask whisky from Sullivans Cove, matured in second-fill French oak. Cask TD0028 was distilled on 10 August 2005 and decanted on 22 March after 17 years and 7 months. It was bottled at 48.3%, and the cask produced 415 bottles of 70cl.
Two fills earlier the cask held Tawny, and that influence has since faded. The whisky keeps its complexity and balance, which is a notable result for French oak maturation without an immediate fortified prefill.
Each bottle comes in a solid walnut presentation box.
