Sullivans Cove XO Single Cask Brandy (70cl)

This is an XO brandy from Sullivans Cove in Hobart, made entirely from Tasmanian wine. It is double-distilled in copper pot stills and aged for many years in a single French oak cask. The brandy is non-chill filtered and bottled at natural strength, so the strength varies from cask to cask. Each bottle is hand-numbered and comes from one cask alone. The nose is rich, with baked apricot, vanilla bean, marmalade and dried rose petals alongside toasted oak and soft spice. The palate is full-bodied, with poached pear, almond brittle, golden sultanas, crème brûlée and citrus peel, plus a hint of cigar leaf. The finish is long, with honeyed fruit, baking spice and French oak.
