Suntory Chita Japanese Single Grain Whisky (43%)

Chita is a Japanese single grain whisky from Suntory, made at the Chita distillery and bottled at 43%. It was launched in September 2015 and brings grain whisky forward on its own, rather than as a part of blends. Master blender Shinji Fukuyo set out to reflect the quiet, misty sea around the Chita peninsula. The whisky is matured in wine casks, Spanish oak casks and American white oak casks. The nose offers creme brulee, cardamom, acacia honey and rose. The palate is soft and silky, with deep honey and a hint of mint. The finish is clean, with spiced oak and bittersweet notes.
