Bourbon barrel
The second release in the Hakushu Story of Distillery series, this limited edition is a smoky Hakushu malt aged in bourbon barrels. The label and packaging are made from Echizen washi paper and show the distillery among its forests. The whisky is a light amber colour. The nose offers pineapple, vanilla cream and roasted green tea. The palate is light, soft and sweet, comparable to wasanbon sugar, with a hint of bitterness. The aftertaste lingers with smoky embers and a subtle bitterness.
