Suntory Kakubin Japanese Whisky (70cl, 40%)

Suntory Kakubin is a Japanese blended whisky, first released in 1937 and named after its square bottle. It is made from a blend of malt and grain whiskies aged in American oak, and is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The square bottle shape has stayed the same since it first appeared. The nose is soft and fragrant, with honey, malt and a little citrus. The palate is light-bodied, with vanilla, delicate oak and a trace of almond sweetness. The finish is clean and crisp, with a faint echo of smoke and spice.
