This is a Japanese blended whisky from Suntory, bottled at 43% ABV in a 60cl anchor-shaped decanter from 1981. The Portopia Excellence decanter belongs to the ocean theme that ran through Suntory's releases in the 1980s and 1990s, which also included the Portopia Buoy and the Marine Sea life collection. Suntory began as Kotobukiya, founded in 1899 by Shinjiro Torii, first as an importer of Western wines and liquor. He went on to build Japan's first distillery at Yamazaki.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
