Suntory The Chita Single Grain Japanese Whisky (70cl, 43%)

This is a single grain whisky from Suntory's Chita Distillery on the Chita Peninsula, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery uses continuous distillation with two, three or four columns, and mainly makes three styles of grain whisky: clean, medium and heavy. These are aged in a variety of casks before being combined into Chita. The nose offers crème brûlée, cardamom, acacia honey and rose blossom. The palate is mild and smooth, with a hint of mint and deep honey. The finish is clean and clear, with spiced oak and subtle bittersweet notes.
