Suntory – Toki Japanese Whisky (43%)

Suntory Toki is a Japanese blended whisky made from whiskies of the Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita distilleries. It was introduced in 2016, and its name means 'time' in Japanese. The blend puts Hakushu single malt and Chita grain whisky to the fore. It is bottled at 43% ABV. The colour is a clear, pale gold. The nose is fresh and herbal, with green apple, basil and wild honey. The palate is light and silky, with pink grapefruit and green grapes alongside peppermint and thyme. The finish is clean and subtly sweet, with white pepper, ginger and vanilla oak.
