Yamazaki Distiller's Reserve is a Japanese single malt from Suntory, bottled at 43% in a 75cl bottle. It is aged in Bordeaux wine casks, together with some Sherry-cask whisky of around 20 years, and blended with whisky from mizunara casks.
The nose offers strawberry, cherry and mizunara, and the palate raspberry, white peach and a touch of coconut. The finish is clear and sweet, with vanilla and a hint of cinnamon.
