A Japanese single malt from Suntory's Yamazaki distillery, aged 18 years and bottled at 43% in a 750ml bottle. Yamazaki is described as the oldest whisky distillery in Japan, and this single malt was launched in 1992. Around 80% of the whisky matured in sherry butts, with the rest aged in American and Mizunara oak casks. The nose is truffles, bitter marmalade, resin and heavy Oloroso sherry. The palate is rich and bittersweet, with cigar leaves, honey, toffee apples, plum wine and black pepper, and the finish is long, fruity and led by marmalade.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
