Super Nikka Divan Japonais Ceramic Bottle (50cl, 43%)

Super Nikka Divan Japonais is a Japanese whisky from Nikka, bottled at 43% in a 50cl ceramic bottle. The painting on the bottle is an advertising poster made for a bar called Divan Japonais, which took in the Japanese aesthetic that was then very popular. Its flat colours and defined outlines are said to have been influenced by the style of Gauguin. The style of Toulouse-Lautrec was recognised as a new form of commercial advertising, and his work is still widely appreciated for its scenes of the period, its fashion and its freshness.
