Super Nikka Revival is a Japanese whisky from The Nikka Whisky Co., brought back as a limited edition in 2015. The label states that it is matured in wood. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is sweet and complex, with honey, vanilla, coconut and dried fruit such as mirabelle plums, over dried sage, leather, gentle cumin and a floral hint of lavender or lilac. The palate is lively and silky, with golden syrup, nougat, dark chocolate, almond milk, malted barley, fragrant oak and a touch of salt. The finish is medium to long, with light peat smoke, fresh-cut grass, ginger, clove and a little aniseed.
