Suze Saveur d'Autrefois is a classic French bitter liqueur with a gentian backbone, citrus lift and nuanced spice. It is conceived as a homage to the original traditional recipe, highlighting the authentic character of gentian root sourced from alpine regions.
Gentian roots are macerated and distilled, then complemented by citrus peels, gentle spice and floral elements. The result is a layered, herbaceous liqueur with an enduring finish rooted in French apéritif tradition.
On the nose there are pronounced herbal notes of gentian root, citrus zest, light florals and warming spice. The palate is distinctly bitter yet balanced, with minerally gentian and citrus oil brightness, while the finish is long and refreshing with lingering gentian bitterness.
