A single malt from Mackmyra in Sweden, bottled by Swell De Spirits as number 9 in its Wonders Of The World range. It was distilled in January 2013 and bottled in April 2022 after nine years in a single virgin oak cask, producing 390 bottles in a 50cl size. The strength is 53.4%, with natural colour and no chill filtration.
Neat, the nose is full of sweet-shop notes: almonds, banana, toffee, bubblegum, white chocolate and liquorice. The palate is an oak spice rack of ginger, cinnamon, black pepper and star anise, with a hint of birch smoke. The finish is long, with spice and oak.
