Talisker – 10 Year Old Map Label 1990s (70cl, 45.8%)

This is a 10 year old Talisker from the 1990s, known as the Map Label edition for the map of the Isle of Skye on its label. It was bottled at 45.8% ABV. It shows an older Talisker style, in which peppery smoke, salinity and an oily texture feel more pronounced than in many modern bottlings. Typical notes are sea spray, cracked black pepper and bonfire smoke, with honeyed malt, citrus peel and a subtle waxy richness. The finish is long and warming, with smoke and spice lingering together.
