Talisker 25 Year Old is a limited edition single malt from the oldest working distillery on Skye, founded in 1830 by brothers Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill. After a fire destroyed the still house in 1960, the distillery was rebuilt with exact replicas of the old stills. Their U-shaped lye pipes and the cooling in traditional worm tubs are credited with giving Talisker its texture and character. The palate starts sweet, then turns dry and toasty, with white pepper and a kick of chilli.
