Talisker 10 Years Old is a single malt from the Isle of Skye, in a 70cl bottle at 45.8% abv. It comes from the island's only distillery, which has been distilling since 1830, and is matured in American oak casks that previously held bourbon.
The style is moderately peated, with a marine, smoky character.
On the nose there is peat smoke with sea salt, black pepper, citrus zest and a little honey. The palate is rich, oily and peppery, with toasted malt, vanilla and woody smoke. The finish is long, dry and spicy, with a trace of marine smoke.
