Talisker 20 Year Old is a single malt from the Isle of Skye, distilled in 1981 and bottled in 2002 as a limited edition. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 62% ABV.
The whisky spent twenty years in sherry casks and was bottled at cask strength without chill filtration.
The nose is maritime peat smoke with dried fruits, toffee and warming spices, alongside dark chocolate and orange zest. The palate is full-bodied, with sherry sweetness, pepper, sea salt and oak spice under a thread of smoke. The finish is very long and warming, peppery and smoky, with dark chocolate and a trace of salt.
