Talisker 25 Year Old is an island malt whisky from Skye in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in first-fill bourbon casks and European oak casks, and is full-bodied and smoky.
It won gold as Best Islands Single Malt at the World Whisky Awards in 2012.
The nose is of salty sea air, old oak furniture, butterscotch and flambeed banana. On the palate come smoky barley, chilli chocolate, ripe nectarine, salted caramel and toast. The finish is long, led by sweet smoke.
