Talisker – Distillers Edition

Talisker Distillers Edition is a single malt from the Isle of Skye, given an extra maturation in Amoroso sherry casks. It is an annual release in the Diageo Distillers Edition series, and has a warm amber colour with red-brown tints. The nose carries sea air, peat smoke and black pepper alongside dried fruit, caramelised sugar, raisins and vanilla. On the palate there is black pepper and smoky oak, then sweet raisins, figs, dark chocolate and a little orange peel, with a creamy softness from the sherry casks. The finish is long, warming and lightly dry, with smoke, dried fruit and a gentle sherry sweetness.
