Talisker – Parley Wilder Seas

A limited edition single malt from Talisker, made in collaboration with Parley for the Oceans, an organisation working for ocean protection. The whisky matured first in ex-bourbon casks and was then finished in ex-French oak Cognac casks. In the glass it is a deep golden amber. The nose has sea breeze, wet wood and peat smoke, with dried fruit, apricots and soft vanilla. The palate is oily and full, with caramel, salted toffee and ripe stone fruit, a gentle fruity sweetness from the Cognac casks and peppery warmth. The finish is long and smoky, with seaweed, dark chocolate, oak and a little citrus.
