Talisker – Skye

Talisker Skye is a single malt from the Talisker distillery on the west coast of the Isle of Skye. It is matured mainly in lightly and heavily toasted American oak casks, and keeps the peppery warmth and salty influence associated with the distillery. The colour is a warm gold. The nose brings ripe citrus, sweet toffee, honey and vanilla with subtle peat, then sea salt, leather and ginger. The palate is full and silky, with caramel, dried fruit and orange peel, light smoke and peppery warmth. The finish is medium to long, with soft smoke, sweet citrus and warm spice.
