Talisker – Storm

Talisker Storm is a single malt from the oldest distillery on the island of Skye, on Scotland's west coast. It carries no age statement, which let the blender combine younger, spicy casks with older, more mature ones. The colour is a deep gold. The nose has sea air, wet rope, black pepper and a touch of citrus, with honey and smoked malt behind, then iodine, seaweed and oak. The palate starts soft and oily before peppery warmth arrives, with peat smoke, sea salt, toffee and ripe fruit. The finish is long and warming, with smoke, spice and a little salted caramel.
