Talisker – Wild Blue (48.2%)

Talisker Wild Blue is a limited edition single malt from Talisker on the Isle of Skye, bottled at 48.2%. It was matured for 16 months in red wine casks from South Africa's coastal regions, something new to Talisker. The bottle is made from 100% recycled glass and carries a ceramic print in place of a paper label. Each bottle supports the Blue Marine Foundation, which works to protect coastal marine environments. The nose brings fresh sea air, smoky oak and ripe berries. The palate is soft, full and maritime, with spiced sweetness and winey notes, leading to a long finish of salt, bonfire smoke and warm wine.
