This Tamdhu was distilled in 1989 and matured for 34 years in a single refill American hogshead. Gordon & MacPhail bottled it from cask 12881 on 8 January 2024 for the Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength series, at a natural cask strength of 54.8%, in a 70cl bottle. The outturn was 95 bottles, with no chill-filtration and no added colour. The nose is lemon peel and green apple, with the spice of Brazil nuts. On the palate, lively orange and lemon zest give way to honeycomb and dried banana, with a hint of aniseed. The finish is full and long, with caramelised brown sugar.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
