Tamdhu 10 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky from the 1980s, an official bottling at 40% ABV. It is gold in colour.
The nose is fresh and clean, grainy and very floral, with a touch of sea air. Acacia honey, sweet white wine, quince jelly, orange marmalade, aromatic herbs and lilac follow, along with a hint of peat.
The palate is punchy, creamy and sweet, with a full body. Fudge, Christmas cake, grass jelly and ripe mirabelle plum sit alongside a sour, winey note. The finish is long, creamy and bold.
