This is a 9 year old Speyside single malt from Tamdhu, distilled in 2015 and bottled by Cooper's Choice for its Golden Cut Collection. It is a limited release at 50% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
Tamdhu is known for using almost only sherry casks, and this bottling is a richly sherried style.
The nose offers raisins, honey, sultanas and soft oak. The palate is rich and round, with dried fruit, toffee, cocoa, spicy sherry notes and a hint of orange peel. The finish is long, warm and sweet, with a subtle woody spice.
