Tamdhu Cask Strength Batch 008 is the eighth edition in the distillery's Batch Strength series, a Speyside single malt matured entirely in Oloroso sherry casks. It was bottled at 55.8% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtering or added colouring.
Warm oak opens the nose in layers, followed by honeycomb and vanilla cream. Summer berries with a tart edge shape the palate, and a little water brings out candied lemon peel and oak spice. The finish starts with a mouthwatering oak note before ripe figs and lemon zest take over.
