This is a limited release single malt from Tamdhu in Speyside, part of the Distinction series and bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The name Quercus Alba refers to American white oak, the wood of the casks used for its maturation, which were ex-sherry casks.
The nose offers vanilla, honey, ripe apples and fine oak spice. On the palate it is full-bodied and balanced, with caramel, malt, light fruit and gentle spice, followed by a long finish.
