Tasca d'Almerita Diamante d'Almerita 2024 Tenuta Regaleali Sicilia Passito IGT

This is a sweet Passito from Tenuta Regaleali, made by Tasca d'Almerita from Moscato and aromatic Traminer grapes dried in the shade to keep their aromas. The vineyards sit on high hillsides, chosen to give a sweet wine elegance rather than heaviness. Conte Giuseppe Tasca first poured it in 1994 to celebrate 60 years of marriage, and the first vintage released commercially was 2003. Golden yellow, it smells of dried apricot and raisin, candied fruit, white flowers, candied orange and orange blossom honey, with a hint of black pepper and lemongrass. Sweetness and acidity are well balanced, with light savouriness and a long, slightly citrus finish.
