Teeling Phoenix Legends 2 is a 16 year old Irish single malt whiskey, bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration in a 70cl bottle. It is the second release in Teeling's Phoenix Legends series, with 1,500 bottles produced.
Made from 100% malted barley at the Teeling distillery in Dublin, it spent 14 years in ex-bourbon barrels before a two-year finish in Sicilian Marsala wine casks.
The nose brings golden honey, vanilla, apricot, fig, toasted nuts and a little cinnamon. The palate has dried fruit, vanilla cream, roasted nuts and dark chocolate, with stewed fruit from the Marsala. The finish is long, with sweet spice, oak tannins and warm nutmeg.
