An Irish pot still whiskey from Teeling, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. It comes from the Liberties distillery in Dublin and is made from a mash of half malted and half unmalted barley.
The spirit is triple distilled, then matured in three kinds of cask: virgin oak, ex-wine and ex-bourbon.
The nose is typically described as warm apple tart, orchard fruit, vanilla custard and spice. On the palate it is rich and creamy, with honeyed grain, apricot and a little pepper. The finish is long, with oak, spice and malt.
