This is a 15 year old Irish single grain whiskey from Teeling, in a 70cl bottle at 50% ABV. It is made from 95% maize and 5% malted barley.
The whiskey matured in ex-bourbon casks, then spent its final 12 months in ex-sauvignon blanc wine casks.
The nose is light, with citrus, grapefruit, green apple and honeysuckle. The palate is fresh and peppery, with a note of bell pepper alongside sweeter honeydew melon, vanilla and pear. The finish is dry with subtle fruit.
