Teeling Single Malt is an Irish single malt without an age statement, bottled in 2017 at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is not chill-filtered.
Malt whiskeys of different ages, made from fully malted barley, are brought together and matured in five kinds of wine cask: sherry, port, Madeira, white Burgundy and Cabernet Sauvignon. Early bottlings of this expression drew on aged stock from the Cooley Distillery.
The nose shows melon and figs with toffee and lemon. The palate offers dried fruit and citrus alongside vanilla and clove spice. The long finish sets sweetness against dry wood tannins, with floral and herbal notes and caramel.
