Teeling – Vintage Reserve 30 Years Old Sauternes & Bourbon Cask (46%)

An Irish single malt from Teeling, distilled in 1991 and bottled in November 2021 at 46% ABV after 30 years of maturation. The outturn was 4,000 bottles. The whiskey first matured in ex-bourbon casks, then spent more than eight years in ex-Sauternes casks, which adds a bright, fruity sweetness. Teeling has previously released 24 and 28 year old whiskeys with the same maturation. The nose brings fresh orchard fruit, roasted nuts and chocolate. The palate is velvety, with deep peach and apricot, hints of citrus, a light smoky touch and spicy wood. The finish is long and fruity, with spiced oak and smoked sea salt.
