Templeton Straight Rye is an American straight rye whiskey bottled at 45% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is distilled at the MGP distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, from a mashbill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley.
The whiskey is aged for a minimum of four years in new charred American oak barrels, then bottled in Templeton, Iowa. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring or flavouring.
The nose is rye grain spice and warm vanilla, with light caramel, toasted oak and a hint of pineapple. The palate brings rye spice, black pepper, cherry, dark chocolate and honey. The finish is clean and warming, with black pepper and dry oak.
