This is an eight-year-old Campbeltown blended malt from That Boutique-y Whisky Company, finished in a first-fill ex-bourbon barrel. It is Batch 4 in the The End of the World series and comes in a 50cl bottle at 52.3% ABV.
The batch was released in 454 bottles, without chill-filtration or added colour. The illustrated label shows a meteor strike, in keeping with the theme of the series.
The nose offers gentle, oily, maritime smoke with green apple, wholegrain biscuits and citrus peel. The palate is full and malty, with windfall apples and soft smoke. Charred oak, cinnamon bark and a touch of clove run through the finish.
