This is a 12 year old Speyside single malt Scotch from the Core Range of That Boutique-y Whisky Company, bottled in small batches in a 70cl bottle at 45.8% ABV. The producing distillery is not disclosed.
It was matured in a marriage of new Oloroso sherry casks and is bottled with natural colour and without chill filtration.
The nose offers caramelised nuts and chocolate mousse with flamed orange peel, cinnamon, cassia and smoky oak. The palate is fruity and chewy, with tangy cranberry, oily walnuts, savoury notes and warming spice. The finish is long, with lingering fruit, nuts, spice and seasoned oak.
