The Balvenie 12 The Sweet Toast American is a 12-year-old whisky from the Balvenie distillery, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is maltly and sweet, with fudge, citrus and oak vanilla, layered with ginger and cinnamon oak spice. On the palate come candied orange and lemon peel, vanilla toffee and caramel, layers of flower honey and a little melted brown sugar, with oak spice arriving at the end.
The finish is rich and malty, with gentle waves of oak vanilla and subtle spice.
